Andrew and Tristan Tate face new rape and trafficking charges in the US

LOS ANGELES – Social media influencers Andrew and Tristan Tate have been arrested in Miami after British authorities issued 38 new charges against them, bringing the total number of accusations to 59.

Britain’s Crown Prosecution Service announced the new charges after identifying four additional victims, including seven counts of rape against Andrew Tate, as well as charges related to sex trafficking and indecent images of a child.

Tristan Tate faces two counts of rape and three counts of arranging or facilitating trafficking for sexual exploitation.

These charges cover alleged offenses occurring between July 2010 and August 2017.

Assistant Chief Constable Karena Thomas confirmed the arrests were conducted by US officers.

With the brothers holding dual American and British citizenship, the UK is moving to extradite them to stand trial for these new allegations as well as prior charges.

The Tate brothers, known for their large online following and Andrew Tate’s self-described misogynistic views, have denied all wrongdoing.

This arrest deepens their legal troubles, adding to the ongoing criminal case in Romania that began in December 2022.

Additionally, Andrew Tate is scheduled to face a civil trial in Britain later this year, where four women have sued him for alleged physical and sexual abuse between 2013 and 2015.

Two claimants stated they were in intimate relationships with Tate while the other two worked for his webcam business; his legal team maintains the claims are false and that all sexual activity was consensual.
