MANILA – The Department of Public Works and Highways-National Capital Region (DPWH-NCR) on Monday announced that works at the EDSA Magallanes Flyover in Makati City would be conducted round-the-clock this Holy Week.
In a social media post, the DPWH said asphalt overlaying and repair of expansion joints at the flyover will begin at 10 p.m. on Holy Wednesday until 4 a.m. on Easter Sunday.
It added that there will be a temporary full road closure on the southbound portion of the flyover, to make way for asphalt works and the repair of expansion joints.
The northbound portion will remain open to motorists.
Motorists are advised to temporarily use alternate routes along EDSA Service Road while rehabilitation is underway, which are as follows:
— Slightly veer right onto the EDSA Service road before reaching the Magallanes Flyover
— Turn right onto Chino Roces Avenue and continue straight until they reach Waltermart, Makati
— Turn left onto Antonio Arnaiz Avenue and proceed straight until reaching Osmeña Highway
— Turn left onto Osmeña Highway, then keep slightly right toward the Osmeña Highway-Magallanes Service Road
— Turn right onto EDSA head toward Pasay City
The DPWH assured to make accessible the closed areas on the scheduled date and time, before the traffic flow weighs in at the end of the Holy Week.
