MANILA, Philippines — Non-profit organization Angat Buhay unveiled its newly constructed two-classroom building for elementary students in Quezon province in early March, expressing its gratitude to partners, including donors from the game show Family Feud Philippines.
According to Angat Buhay, students of Siain Elementary School in Buenavista have been enduring makeshift classrooms for years, with teachers and parents struggling to create a conducive learning environment for all 114 learners.

“But these classrooms were far from ideal. During the summer, the small rooms became unbearably hot. When it rained, water would often seep in, forcing students to crowd together just to stay dry,” Angat Buhay said in a post.
The elementary school, a last-mile school in the province, last received its concrete classroom fourteen years ago, the non-profit added.

The new spacious classrooms, through the support of GMA Network, Family Feud Philippines, Myriad USA, and VXI, were officially turned over by Angat Buhay to the Siain school community.
Equipped with amenities, the classrooms have functional toilets, electric fans, desks, chairs, bookshelves, and other educational materials for young learners.

“Nakakatuwang makita na ang mga premyong napanalunan sa show at naidonate sa inyo ay nagiging bahagi ng mga proyektong tulad nito,” host Dingdong Dantes wrote in a personal post.
(It is blissful to see that the prizes won from the show and donated by the contestants were a part of projects like these.)
“Marami talagang pwedeng magawa basta’t nagtutulungan. Mabuhay ang inyong adbokasiya,” he added.
(There are a lot of things that can be done as long as everyone’s helping one another. Long live your advocacy.)
The Angat Buhay Foundation has emerged as a frequent beneficiary of winnings from the game show’s contestants since the show’s early airings in March 2022.
