UNITED STATES – The global girl group, KATSEYE, has been making waves around the world recently, with hits like Gnarly, Gabriela, and Internet Girl to their name. They continue to break records and show up at red carpets, proving their influence and impact on the current pop scene.

While those are all important things career-wise, KATSEYE member Manon Bannerman makes a choice that she believes is the most meaningful for her when she announces a temporary break from the group activities in order to focus on her health and well-being.

In a statement on KATSEYE’s Twitter account on February 21, 2026, the group shares that they fully support her decision and that KATSEYE will continue to show up for one another and the fans (named EYEKONS). While they will be continuing group activities without Manon for the time being, they hope to have her back on stage with them as soon as possible “when the time is right.” They also ask for the fans’ continued love, patience, and understanding.

Manon also reaches out to fans following the announcement, easing their worries personally through Weverse – a global fandom platform created by HYBE. In the post, she says that she would like them to hear the news directly from her and assures them that she is “healthy, okay, and taking care of herself.”

She goes on to add, “Sometimes things unfold in ways we don’t fully control, but I’m trusting the bigger picture. Thank you for standing by me. I love you endlessly and can’t wait to see you again.”
