MANDALUYONG, Manila – Today, Vice President Sara Duterte held a press conference in the Office of the Vice President. To the shock of the public, not only does she criticize the current administration, but she also ties up her speech by announcing her desire to run this 2028 for the Presidential Elections.
Duterte says that even during the very start of their terms, she already saw the lack of conviction that Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. had towards the promises he made during campaign season.
Even more, she apologizes to the Filipino people for a great myriad of issues, including but not limited to: helping BBM get into office as President of the country, the lack of corruption measures in the flood control projects, the blatant abuse of the institutions in the interest of politics, the rising prices of basic necessities and the stagnancy of minimum wage, no real food security, and the lack of a proper and effective healthcare system.
“Hindi ako kailanman natakot sa pagsira nila ng pangalan ko,” she says. “Ngunit may takot ako para sa ating mga anak, may takot ako para sa susunod na henerasyon.”
(“Not once was I afraid of them slandering my name,” she says. “But I am afraid for our children, for the next generation.”)
