NEW YORK CITY, USA — Sophia Laforteza, leader and member of global girl group KATSEYE, teases an appearance on The Tonight Show by Jimmy Fallon. The Tonight Show by Jimmy Fallon is an American late-night talk show hosted by Jimmy Fallon. It consists of comedic sketches and games as well as guest interviews.

The buzz begins with a reel from fallontonight’s Instagram account. It was reposted on an Instagram story by the KATSEYE’s leader on January 26, 2026. It was captioned cryptically with a set of sequential emojis of a shield, key, crown, cherry, anchor, and shell.

While it wouldn’t mean anything in any other circumstance, these emojis are especially familiar to the KATSEYE fans—named EYEKONS—because the representative emojis of all the Katseye members: Daniela (shield), Lara (key), Manon (crown), Megan (cherry), Sophia (anchor), and Yoonchae (shell).

It also featured Jimmy Fallon himself eating what looked like a zucchini, a reference to KATSEYE’s latest song “Internet Girl.” The song itself contains the lyrics, “eat zucchini, eat zucchini, do you read me? Like the emoji?” which is now a popular TikTok trend.

That, and the fact that it has been reposted on Sophia’s Instagram, aroused excitement amongst their fans.

KATSEYE was a group formed by the 2023 reality competition series called Dream Academy. It is a collaboration between HYBE and Geffen Records. They later debuted in 2024 with their single “Debut,” quickly followed by “Touch.”
