MANILA–The Embassies of the United States, Canada, and Australia on Wednesday conveyed their readiness to extend assistance in the ongoing response efforts in areas severely hit by Typhoon Tino (international name Kalmaegi)

US Ambassador MaryKay Carlson said the US Embassy in Manila is working with its partners in the Philippines and “stands ready to assist.”

“My heart goes out to everyone affected by Typhoon Tino’s devastation. We extend our condolences to the friends and families of those who perished and salute the brave first responders on the scene,” she said in a post on X.

The Canadian Embassy in Manila, for its part, said it is open to cooperating with relevant Philippine government agencies and humanitarian partners to address urgent needs and support recovery on the ground.

“The Embassy of Canada conveys its solidarity with those affected by Typhoon Tino in the central Philippines. We extend our condolences to those who have lost loved ones and our thoughts to communities coping with injury, displacement, and damage to homes and livelihoods,” it said.
