Lithuania, the Netherlands rule 2025 FIBA 3×3 Europe Cup

MANILA – Lithuania defeated Latvia, 21-17, Sunday in the men’s final of the FIBA 3×3 Europe Cup in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Ignas Vaitkus bagged the MVP honors, scoring eight points for Lithuanians, who finished the tournament with four wins against one loss.

Italy prevailed over Germany, 22-15, to settle for third place.

Raphael Gaspardo delivered 13 points for the Italians in their first Europe Cup appearance since 2016.

Meanwhile, the Netherlands triumphed over Azerbaijan, 21-16, to secure the women’s title.

Noortje Driessen scored 11 points, earning the MVP plum as the Dutch side secured its second title after winning the World Cup last June.

In the battle for third, Sandra Ygueravide scored eight points in Spain’s 21-15 victory over France.

The final standings: Men (Lithuania, Latvia, Italy, Germany, France, Netherlands, Serbia, Austria, Switzerland, Denmark, Hungary, Ireland); Women (Netherlands, Azerbaijan, Spain, France, Germany, Poland, Lithuania, Hungary, Ukraine, Denmark, Great Britain and Austria).
