GMA Network, the country’s leading media company, scored twin victories at the Sinebata Awards 2025 organized by Anak TV, an advocacy group of television networks dedicated to promoting children’s welfare through child-friendly and child-sensitive programming, with its entries ”Daig Kayo ng Lola Ko” and ”The Friendship of Peace.” The awarding ceremony was held on August 27 at The Peninsula Manila.

These two GMA Network entries are among the selections that will represent the Philippines at the upcoming Southeast Asia Video Festival for Children on November 13 to 16 in Bangkok, Thailand.

The award-winning anthology series ”Daig Kayo ng Lola Ko,” produced by GMA Entertainment Group, received recognition for its episode ”Squad Game,” which won in the Professional Fiction (8–12 Years Old) category.

Meanwhile, ”The Friendship of Peace,” produced by Sparkle GMA Artist Center, was named a finalist in the Children Video Makers (12 Years Old and Under) category. The video featured performances by Sparkle Kids Aljon Banaira, Jordan Lim, Jourdanne Baldonido, and Ericca Laude.

With the theme “The Magic of Peace,” this year’s Sinebata Awards celebrates video works for, about, and produced by children and the youth. A national competition, it is part of Anak TV’s advocacy to encourage creative expression among young Filipinos through technology while also promoting media literacy. Successful entries are further showcased at the Southeast Asia Video Festival for Children, promoting cultural appreciation and understanding across the region.

As GMA Network celebrates its 75th anniversary, these recognitions at the Sinebata Awards 2025 underscore the Network’s continued commitment to producing meaningful stories that inspire and resonate with young viewers.
