MANILA – President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. is in good health, Malacañang assured the public on Friday.

“Sa aking perspektibo dahil nakakasama tayo mismo ng ating Pangulo, maganda po ang kalusugan ng ating Pangulo (From my perspective, because we are personally with our President, our President is in good health),” Presidential Communications Office Undersecretary and Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said in a press briefing.

This, after netizens noticed Marcos’ bleeding gums while delivering a speech in an event at Camp Aguinaldo in Quezon City on Wednesday.

Castro advised the public to avoid making assumptions about Marcos’ health.

She also warned against fake news peddlers who want to make it appear that Marcos is not in good shape.

That is not good for our country. We should pray for the good health of our leaders),” Castro said.

Because if the President is not in good health, he probably will not be able to fulfill his daily duties).”

Castro said the public need not worry about Marcos’ health, assuring them that the President continues fulfilling his duties.

She said Marcos has been active on attending public engagements and holding private meetings.

Maliban diyan ay meron pa rin po siyang mga meeting kasama po kami (You will notice, maybe even the media, you see the President almost every day in his activities and in the campaign rallies of Alyansa. He also has meetings with us),” Castro said.
