MANILA – President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. is set to sign four more priority bills, including the 2025 national budget, before the year ends, Presidential Legislative Liaison Office (PLLO) Secretary Mark Llandro Mendoza said Monday.

In an interview in Malacañang, Mendoza said around 70 to 80 percent of the measures identified by the Legislative-Executive Development Advisory Council (LEDAC) have progressed in both Houses of Congress.

Mendoza was among those who witnessed Marcos sign into law three measures, including the amendments on the Rice Tariffication Law, among the priority legislations of the administration.

“May nasa bicam pa, ‘yung iba naman nasa plenary pa ng Senate, so, this year ha, hopefully this year, mga ano na lang siguro, mapirmahan siguro, max siguro kung aabot four (A few are still in the bicameral committee, while others are still in the Senate plenary. So, this year, hopefully this year, maybe just a few. It will probably be signed, at most, probably four for this year),” Mendoza said.

Included in the four priority bills that the President could sign this year is the proposed PHP6.352-trillion 2025 national budget, he added.

However, he did not identify the other priority measures that may be signed before 2024 ends.
