Filipino community leaders are gathering to thank MP Don Davies for his endless support in building a Filipino Community Cultural Centre.

Vancouver, BC—The Mabuhay House Society, in collaboration with the Filipino Seniors Club of BC, is coming together, along with other Filipino community leaders, to celebrate the Canadian Federal Government’s commitment to funding the Filipino Community Cultural Centre in British Columbia.

The Filipino community particularly recognizes the work and contributions of NDP Finance Critic, Don Davies, whose steadfast advocacy has been instrumental in ensuring that the voices and needs of the Filipino community are heard and prioritized.

His dedication to championing diversity and cultural representation exemplifies the spirit of “Bayanihan.” A Tagalog word for “ a spirit of communal unity and cooperation.

“After 15 years of advocating for a Filipino Cultural Centre in the lower mainland, I’m pleased to see it included in this year’s federal budget.
