What better way to celebrate the leap year than by adopting an animal waiting in one of the BC SPCA’s community animal centres for a home. The BC SPCA has many long-term resident animals who are looking for a home, including dogs, cats, small animals like guinea pigs and rabbits, plus farm animals like goats and horses. To make the most of this extra day in February and to help make room to help more animals in its centres and foster homes, the BC SPCA is offering 50% off adoption fees on all adoptable animals Thursday, February 22 through Sunday, March 3.

“We want to take advantage of this extra day to help find loving homes for all of the incredible animals in our care,” says Adrienne McBride, the BC SPCA’s senior director of Community Animal Centres. “Have a look at the adoptable animals on our website and if you find one that you think would be a perfect addition to your home and family, set up a meeting by calling the centre where they are located. You will still need to fill out an adoption application and go through the normal screening process, but you can find out quickly if it is a match.”

Thanks to our friends at Hill’s Pet Nutrition for helping us find more forever homes for animals in our care. See all the amazing animals waiting to meet you at spca.bc.ca/adopt. Check your local SPCA for details on the special adoption activities in your community.
