Fashion designers from all over the world have come together in New York City to present their latest collections at the Global Fashion Collective show. From avant-garde designs to classic fashion staples, this event is a testament to the power of creativity and the beauty of diversity. Let’s celebrate the creative genius of these designers and experience the magic of fashion.

STUDIO L7 show’s focal point is a daring experiment in deconstructing and reassembling traditional suit elements, injecting them with a new definition aiming to challenge norms and steer fashion in a fresh direction. Designer Wirt Li breaks down traditional elements like cuts, pockets, and buttons, then creatively reassembles them to create a unique appearance and structure. The process is a bold reinterpretation of the conventional suit style. This creative direction is not just a fashion show but an experiment with fashion tradition, showcasing the uniqueness and forward-thinking nature of the designs.  This journey of breaking boundaries, creative challenges, and rethinking, renders this collection uniquely meaningful.

Rea by Rhea presented “Eternal Threads”, a conversation between cultures and environments through design and print. It celebrates traditional Indian storytelling customs by interlacing the stories into the contemporary design world where Rhea has found herself. Each look in the collection exemplifies how heritage can be preserved and celebrated in the modern fashion landscape. “Eternal Threads” celebrates the rich tapestry of influences that have shaped Rhea as a designer and the lores she weaves into her creations in a culturally sustainable way.

R – Infection showcased The “Land Resound”, a unisex collection showcasing naturally distressed clothing that has taken shape through observation and contemplation of nature. The inspiration comes from the ancient banyan tree and its interconnected canopy of branches, aerial stems gently seeking grounding, and the textural beauty of its roots. The tactile aesthetic of time-worn, wise roots celebrate the earthly experience as its crevices, folds, ridges, holding and sustaining, narrate their story. The showcased garments strive to share these ancient experiences with faded parts symbolizing wrinkle lines on the clothes, claiming the witnesses of time. The power of the language of nature gives this collection a sense of life and vitality.

Lenifro presented the ‘RETRO DREAMERcollection that emerges from her love and inspiration from Dream, her son, and the 80s era. The porfa collection, created with polyester made from recycled plastic bottles, takes the stage, divided into five blocks, transmitting through the prints five inspirational elements from Helen’s youth. Chains and tacks, combined with vibrant yellow color, are the perfect match to start the runway show with accessories matching all the collection prints, and faux leather in some of the pieces. As a dedicated lover of 80s fashion, the XL shoulder pads and volumes are evident in every piece this season, offering a fresh, fun, and colorful collection with a retro touch.
