CSC offers portal for public sector jobseekers
MANILA – The Civil Service Commission (CSC) is inviting aspirants for public sector jobs to visit the CSC Job Portal at www.csc.gov.ph/career to facilitate their search for government job openings suited to their qualifications and preference.
This year, we are again inviting fresh college graduates and first-time jobseekers, as well as the recent passers in the Career Service Exams and those who want to transfer jobs to visit the portal),” CSC Chairperson Karlo Nograles said in a news release.
Nograles said the CSC Job Portal furnishes interested and qualified Filipino citizens with pertinent details regarding job vacancies offered by national government agencies, local government units and state universities and colleges.
Interested applicants can access the CSC Job Portal and utilize filters such as position title, agency name and region to narrow down the available vacancies.
The search results will display essential information for each position, including position title with the place of assignment, plantilla item number, application deadline, salary/job grade and qualification standards for the position.
Nograles reminded applicants to directly submit all applications and questions regarding the vacancy to the concerned agency.
He also reminded jobseekers to be mindful of the qualification standards and competencies required for each position, as “eligibility is not the sole requirement for permanent appointment.”
Under CSC Resolution No. 2000221, dated Feb. 4, 2020, the CSC adopted a single, unified platform for the publication of vacant positions in government through the CSC Website.
As per the resolution, agencies are directed to submit their list of authorized first, second, and third-level vacant positions, both in electronic and printed formats, to the relevant CSC Field Office (FO).
The printed copy shall be posted by the agency and the CSC FO in their respective bulletin boards, while the electronic copy shall be forwarded to the CSC Regional Office for publication on the CSC Website.
“We are hoping that more qualified Filipinos will enter the public sector and be a part of the 1.8 million civil service work force toward a stronger, more agile public sector that contributes to national development,” Nograles said.
