Metro Manila stays under Alert Level 1 until June 30
MANILA – Metro Manila will remain under the most lenient Alert Level 1 until June 30, Malacañang announced on Wednesday.
This, after the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) approved the new alert level classifications in the country, acting presidential spokesperson and Communications Secretary Martin Andanar said.
In a press statement, Andanar said the municipality of Pateros and the cities of Caloocan, Malabon, Navotas, Valenzuela, Pasig, Marikina, Quezon, Manila, Makati, Mandaluyong, San Juan, Muntinlupa, Parañaque, Las Piñas, and Pasay in the National Capital Region (NCR) will be under Alert Level 1 from June 16 to 30.
The IATF-EID’s latest decision came, after Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire earlier raised the possibility of upgrading the alert level status in Metro Manila because of the apparent uptick in coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) infections in the country’s metropolis.

It’s a good news, but still let us be careful everytime we go outside, so wear face mask and if ever avoid crowded places. Hoping this year to be back to the normal.

Sana ay huwag na nating hayaang tumaas pa ang Alert Level, so let us be vaccinated and always follow safety protocols. Keep Safe everyone.
Let us all fight covid 19 so that we are now free to do whatever we want, and as a student i really want to go back on school.

Covid 19 is still present so let still follow health and safety protocols to avoid covid surge again. I hope the alert levels will gone soon. I was hoping that the next DOH secretary would be Dr. Willie Ong because i believe on his abilities and skills.

And of course i want Mr. Marcos to have a concrete and effective plan to eliminate covid 19.

We shouldn’t forget that we are still in the Pandemic Era, so whatever alert level our city is every individual must make sure that they follow protocols and safety standard. Doesn’t mean that they are in a low level they will act like Covid didn’t exist. Take note that our enemy here is cannot be seen. As I was watching news many people in Metro Manila no longer follow safety protocols like social distancing and some don’t even wear face mask, it’s very alarming since everyone’s safety is at stake or in danger if this virus keep on spreading because of our incompetence.
