Isko congratulates BBM for leading May 9 prexy race
MANILA – Aksyon Demokratiko standard-bearer Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso on Tuesday congratulated former senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. who is leading the May 9 presidential race by a wide margin.
“Ngayon naman po mga kababayan, nakikinita na po natin at malapit na rin po yan maging opisyal na meron na pong pinili ang taumbayan. Sa kasalukuyan po, nais kong batiin si dating senador Ferdinand Marcos (Jr.) sa kanyang patuloy na pangunguna (Now my countrymen, we have seen this and this will be official soon, that the people have already made their choice. At present, I wish to congratulate former senator Ferdinand Marcos [Jr.] for leading and continuing to lead [the elections]), and I hope it can be official soon para matapos na at mapanatag na ang lahat (so that it will be officially concluded and everyone will be at ease),” he said during a Facebook live stream Tuesday afternoon.
He also expressed his congratulations to the family of the election front-runner for being the top choice of the Filipino voters.
Domagoso also urged all Filipinos to support the incoming Marcos administration to ensure its success.
“Sa atin naman mga kababayan, ito naman ay aking panawagan, uulitin ko po, hindi po magtatagumpay ang susunod na administrasyon kung patuloy po ang ating hinagpis, kalungkutan, or maaring meron pa tayong sama ng loob (to my countrymen, this is a call, and I will say this again, the next administration will never succeed if we will continue to rant, have sadness or bitter feelings),” he said.
Domagoso also called on his supporters and those who voted for him, as well as fellow Filipinos, to unite and cooperate with the country’s new president.
“Kelangan natin magtagumpay pare-pareho, hindi po magtatagumpay si President-elect Ferdinand Marcos Jr. at si Vice President-elect Sara Duterte at sampu ng mga senador na napili at mga kongresista na halal ng bayan kung tayong mga mamamayan ay hindi makikiisa (We all need to be successful in life. President-elect Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and Vice President-elect Sara Duterte, the senators and congress representatives who were selected and voted by the people, will not succeed if we, the citizenry, will not cooperate and unite with them),” he added.
Domagoso also thanked his family, supporters, and volunteers for sticking with him until the end of his presidential campaign.
Meanwhile, Aksyon Demokratiko national chair Ernest Ramel Jr on Tuesday thanked all the people who helped them in the campaign.
“To all those who volunteered, sacrificed blood, sweat, and tears and even spent their own hard-earned money for this campaign, maraming maraming salamat po sa inyo (Thank you so much),” he said in a Facebook post.
“Hindi po natatapos dito ang ating laban. Magpahinga lamang muna tayo ng kaunti pero nananawagan ako sa inyo na samahan ‘nyo po kami. Samahan ‘nyo po ang Aksyon Demokratiko. Patuloy po natin itaguyod ngayon pa lamang ang mga prinsipyo nito at core values ng Aksyon (Our fight does not end here. We will only rest for a while, but we are calling you to join us again, join Aksyon Demokratiko. We will continue to uphold the principles and core values of Aksyon),” he said.
Aksyon Demokratiko is the party founded by the late Senator Raul Roco.
Based on the PPRCV-KBP Election 2022 partial and unofficial count as of 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Domagoso garnered 1,875,847 votes.

Isko was not lucky enough to win but he remained a good person and accepted the result of the voting and even if he didn’t win now maybe in the next election you will be the one destined to win just against and rest with your family. God bless you
