Robredo vows to rid corruption in gov’t
MANILA – Presidential hopeful Vice President Leni Robredo has vowed to cleanse government ranks and get rid of graft and corruption once she gets elected.
During her speech at the grand rally in Bulacan on Wednesday evening, Robredo said in her long service in the government, she was never involved in any corruption complaint or case.
rally here in Malolos, I told you our platform. I told you that the first thing that we will do is to clean the government, that is why our promise is an honest government to lift the lives of everyone),” she said.
Robredo noted that she and her team have made so many promises, however, those will not be fulfilled if the government is not honest and is full of corrupt people.
With an honest government, she added that investments and businesses will easily come in and that will result in a better economy.
An honest government, Robredo said, means having hardworking and capable government servants.
Our economy will only improve if investors trust us. If not, we will be unable to create more jobs, and we won’t be able to fix our economy the way we want it),” she said.
Robredo also reminded her supporters to always ask for proof and not to believe at once those courting their votes.
She also told the crowd of her numerous projects and assistance provided by her office in the past years, most especially during the coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic and natural calamities.
By voting for her, Robredo said the people are choosing for a bright future.
We are doing this for our country. We are doing this for our children and their future),” she said.
