Surf into the tides of life this April with GMA Pinoy TV!
GMA Pinoy TV takes the Kapuso abroad on a journey for the mind and soul as GMA Network’s flagship international channel dishes out its programming line-up this April.
Airing soon on GMA Pinoy TV is “Raya Sirena,” starring Sparkle love team Sofia Pablo and Allen Ansay. The show tells the story of Raya (Sofia), who continues her journey of self-discovery both as human and mermaid, and the importance of love for friends and family.
The Xian Lim and Glaiza de Castro-starrer “False Positive” is also set to air soon on GMA Pinoy TV. The romance-comedy showcases a neglected wife who malevolently wishes in front of a magical fountain, resulting in the husband developing a fetus in his tummy.
Premiering on April 25 is “Raising Mamay,” the heartwarming drama on the reversal of roles between a mother and her child. A teenager, portrayed by Shayne Sava, takes care of her scornful mother, played by Ms. Aiai Delas Alas, who was stricken with brain regression after being shot in the head.
In observance of the Lenten Season, GMA Pinoy TV airs a Holy Week special programming from April 14 to 16.
A marathon of “The Atom Araullo Specials,” ”Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho,” “I-Witness,” “Born to be Wild,” “Magpakailanman,” and “Daig Kayo ng Lola Ko” will be seen from Thursday to Saturday along with special drama series and movies.
Lenten drama series “Tanikala” also features different stories that are set to touch the hearts of viewers this season of reflection. Watch “Habang May Ngayon” for the inspiring story of Carla Manas as she battles the deadly COVID-19; “Isa Pang Hiling” starring Lara Quigaman-Alcaraz, who portrays the story of a mother’s struggles to give the best for her family despite things getting out of her control when the pandemic hit; and “Suklob,” a heart-tugging real-life story of an abused son, played by Kristoffer Martin, who was often blamed for the unfortunate events that happened in their family.
On April 15, catch the annual Lenten presentation featuring the 7 Last Words in “Siyete Palabras.”
Witness the healing journey of a man of God in the “Suarez: The Healing Priest” this April 16. The film depicts the life of Filipino priest and faith healer Fernando Suarez played by award-winning actor John Arcilla.
GMA Pinoy TV subscribers can also catch the games of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Season 97 as it holds face-to-face competition after a two-year pandemic hiatus.
Kapuso abroad and sports fans alike can watch the Men’s Basketball games from the student-athletes of Arellano University, Colegio de San Juan de Letran, Emilio Aguinaldo College, José Rizal University, Lyceum of the Philippines University, Mapúa University, San Beda University, San Sebastian College-Recoletos, University of Perpetual Help System DALTA, and season host school De La Salle-College of St. Benilde. Women’s Volleyball games, chess, and taekwondo matches are soon to be aired as well.
Viewers should also watch out for the airing of the Expo 2020 Dubai specials from Trending Pinoy, A Trending Pnoy #TPH Special.
In this “Trending Pinoy” primer, the team looks back into the most talked-about and visited event of the year —- The Expo 2020 Dubai. Led by top government officials, the Filipinos showcased its fabulous culture and dazzled the audience with a spectacular gala show depicting the “bangkota”. And just before the global exposition concluded, top Filipino artists Julie Ann San Jose, Jessica Villarubin and Xian Lim headlined in a GMA Pinoy TV special show.
All of these plus a bevy of other activities, gastronomic dishes, jaw-dropping structures, and innovations that wowed visitors.
Also airing on GMA Pinoy TV this April 16 is the musical “Tides of Our Soul,” which showcases the Philippines’ beauty and traditions in the Expo 2020 Dubai concert.
