‘She’s here:’ Singer Sitti welcomes baby no. 2
“She’s here,” Singer Sitti Navarro said in an Instagram post as she welcomed her second child with her husband, Joey Ramirez.
Sitti posted a series of photos of her daughter, Osseah Lucille Ramirez, whom she gave birth to last Thursday, September 23, at 11:12 p.m.
“Weighing 5 lbs and 8 ounces, perfectly healthy! With an APGAR score of 9.9,” the singer said in the caption. APGAR, which means appearance, pulse, grimace, activity, and respiration, is used to assess the health of a newborn.
In her Instagram stories, Sitti shared that she was supposed to give birth on Monday, September 27, but she experienced vomiting which her doctor said could be a sign of early labor.
“I felt some minor contractions that went away… still, Dra asked us to go for a Non-Stress test to be sure. She also asked us to have our RT-PCR tests done na rin just in case,” she said in one of her Instagram posts.
The singer then underwent an emergency C-section as her baby’s heart rate decelerated. Her husband, meanwhile, was not able to be with her in the delivery room because they had to wait for his swab test result.
“He just waited in the hall the whole time… he wasn’t allowed into our room too,” she said. Her husband joined them when he received his negative swab test result, four hours after Sitti gave birth.
“As for me and Lucybubs, we were together the whole time in the recovery room. I breastfed her and started learning how to care for a newborn again,” Sitti shared.
In April 2021, Sitti announced that she was pregnant with her second child, whom she said is their “surprise gift from the Lord.”
Sitti and Joey, who have been married since 2015, welcomed their first child, Issiah Dañelle, in November 2018.
