PH Red Cross vaccination continues even during ECQ
MANILA – The Philippine Red Cross (PRC) will continue its vaccination program even during the enhanced community quarantine on August 6 to 20.
As of July 31, the PRC has already vaccinated 67,058 individuals — 63,176 through PRC Bakuna Centers nationwide and 3,882 people aboard the PRC Bakuna Bus.
The agency also vaccinated 1,491 overseas Filipino workers under the Government Moderna Program Initiative while 759 were inoculated under the PRC Moderna Program.
“The 15-day lockdown this August will not hinder the vaccination program of Red Cross. Red Cross will not stop administering vaccines. As long as we get supplies from the government, PRC vaccination centers will continue operations,” PRC chair Senator Richard Gordon said in a news release on Monday.
PRC supports the National Covid-19 Vaccine Deployment Plan with its 13 existing vaccination centers and 17 more to open, deployment of its vaccination teams to local government unit-operated Bakuna Centers, and deployment of mobile vaccine clinics, also known as the Bakuna Buses.
