Ben&Ben, Moira collab anew for new song ‘Pasalubong’
Ben&Ben and Moira dela Torre joined forces again for the new song, “Pasalubong,” the band’s third single from their upcoming second album.
“Pasalubong,” which conveys one’s courageous and hopeful love confession, was released on Friday, July 30. Its title, according to the band, could mean two things: a “gift” or “to meet.”
The song, which is about “meeting halfway,” was written by Ben&Ben’s twin vocalists, Paolo Benjamin and Miguel Benjamin, along with Moira and Jason Hernandez. It was arranged by the band’s percussionist, Andrew de Pano.
Prior to “Pasalubong’s” release, Andrew expressed how thrilled he was for people to hear it.
“Some of you may have heard that for Album 2, songs have been assigned to each of us to oversee, arrange, and produce. This one’s my contribution and I’ve put all my heart proudly on display for it. I really hope you like it.” he tweeted.
Describing the song, Paolo, meanwhile, said it is “a hopeful song! A bit sad yes, but hopeful.”
The music video of “Pasalubong” was also released on Friday.
“Thank you for showing us so much love. Hope this song gave you courage,” Moira said in a tweet.
On Saturday, July 31, Ben&Ben delivered a good news, saying, “Pasalubong now has 500,000 streams on Youtube and Spotify.”
“We’re grateful for every single one of you who listened and watched,” it added.
“Pasalubong” is the second collaboration of Ben&Ben and Moira, after “Paalam” in 2019.
The first two songs, “Upuan” and “Magpahinga”, in their second album were released in May, the same month the band celebrated their fourth anniversary.
