AFP identifies 4 more bodies in C-130 crash
MANILA – The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) on Friday announced that it has identified four more cadavers of soldiers who died in the crash of the C-130 transport plane in Patikul, Sulu last July 4.
AFP public affairs office chief Navy Capt. Jonathan Zata said the four were identified as Sergeant Jelson J. Sadjail, Corporal Alhamin U. Salahuddin, Private First Class Alzid S. Hawrani, and Private First Class Nazer S Albaracin, all from the Philippine Army.
“The AFP through the Western Mindanao Command has reached out to the loved ones of the identified personnel while their remains are being prepared for transport and proper burial,” he said in a statement.
Zata said a total of 33 cadavers have now been identified while 17 are still undergoing identification to ensure that they are reunited with their families as soon as possible.
Aside from the 50 military fatalities, three civilians on the grounds were also killed in the incident while 46 military personnel and four civilians were wounded.
