Anne Curtis quashes network transfer speculation; actress to return to ‘It’s Showtime’

Anne Curtis is telling netizens to “kalma lang (calm down),” quashing speculations that she might be transferring to the Kapuso network after she was seen attending a virtual meeting with some GMA Network executives.
The photo from the online meeting was shared by GMA’s Joey Abacan on Instagram. A netizen took a screenshot of the post and asked Anne on Twitter, “Please tell us na gma films lang at hindi ka lilipat sa gma (Please tell us that it is only for GMA Films and you are not transferring to GMA).” This happened as it was announced that Bea Alonzo, who was with ABS-CBN for nearly two decades, officially became a Kapuso star.
Replying to the tweet, Anne assured the netizen that the meeting was not for her transfer to the network, but only for a project discussion.
“Hahaha Yes. Kalma (Calm down). They pitched a film for next year na hindi pa naman sure yet (that is not sure yet). As always, I need to read the script first before making a decision,” the actress said.
“The last viva x gma film I did was IN YOUR EYES with Ate Claudine & Richard. I was already a Kapamilya then. So Kalma Lang (So just calm down)!” she added, referring to the 2010 film where she starred alongside Claudine Barretto and Richard Gutierrez.
In another tweet, Anne also announced that she will be returning to ABS-CBN’s noontime variety show, It’s Showtime.
Anne is one of the variety show’s hosts since 2009. She went on a hiatus in 2019 as she was pregnant with her first child, Dahlia Amélie. She welcomed her daughter last year in Australia.
The actress, her husband Erwan Heussaff, and Dahlia flew back to the Philippines in February 2021.
While she has yet to make a comeback to It’s Showtime, Anne is working on a new babywear brand, Tili Dahli, which she launched along with her sister-in-law, Solenn Heusaff, last month.
