Rogers to give credit to be applied to customers’ May bill
After a wireless service outage, Rogers will be giving bill credits to its customers.
In a series of tweets on Tuesday, Rogers apologized to its customers for the inconvenience and said that a credit equivalent to Monday’s wireless service fee will be applied to their May bill.
“This will be done automatically & no action is required by you,” Rogers tweeted.
It was reported that the users were unable to have access to voice calls, texting, and data services due to the outage. According to the company, this was caused by a software update but its wireless services have now been restored.
“We’re undertaking an in-depth review in partnership with Ericsson. We know this was related to an Ericsson software upgrade that caused devices to be disconnected from our network,” Rogers said.
It also assured that similar issues will not happen again.
“Again, we our (sic) offer our sincere apologies and will work hard to earn back your trust,” it added.
