NCRPO enhances 24-hour hotline to resolve crimes
MANILA – The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) on Wednesday said its official 24-hour hotline has been enhanced to ensure “free-flow” of communication necessary to resolve crimes, prevent unlawful activities, and even complaints against police personnel.
“With our invigorated campaign to promote internal cleansing and to ensure optimum delivery of police services to the people of Metro Manila, I would like to ensure the free-flow of communication between my Office and the community,” NCRPO chief Brig. Gen. Vicente Danao said in a statement.
Danao said the NCRPO 24-hour complaint hotline is ready to receive complaints from Metro Manila residents via 0915-888-81-81 for Globe and 0999-901-81-81 for Smart subscribers and through other social media accounts of NCRPO.
“This is going to be their direct hotline in airing out their issues and concerns. I also welcome reports involving personnel within our ranks who continuously defy orders, laws, rules and regulations,” he said.
He said the hotline aims to establish a proactive mode of initiating complaints and sending sensitive information to the police and it guarantees the protection of the identity of the informant thereby easing out their fear for their safety.
He, however, said complainants “may opt to reveal their identity or not”.
“I encourage everyone to help us out in resolving crimes and preventing unlawful activities to restore and maintain peace and order in our community. Do not hesitate to report to us the information and we guarantee that your concern shall be immediately addressed,” he added.
Danao guaranteed that the messages sent to the hotline shall be duly acted upon and investigated.
