MANILA – The Civil Service Commission (CSC) said government agencies should submit to them the list of their job openings for posting in the CSC job portal and in their regional field offices for these to be made available for individuals seeking work in government offices.

“All positions should be published at the CSC website before an agency can hire,” said Commissioner Aileen Lizada in an interview with the Philippine News Agency on Wednesday.

Lizada added that this is to enable the CSC to monitor the number of job openings in different government agencies as numbers of government positions remain unfilled for a long time.

CSC Chairperson Alicia dela Rosa-Bala said Memorandum Circular No.

25 series of 2020 dated Nov. 20 states that the commission resolved to adopt a unified platform for publication of vacant positions in the government on the CSC website.

MC No. 25 also states that this is to maintain and manage only one online portal for government job vacancies, pursuant to CSC Resolution No.

Interested and qualified individuals seeking to work in different government agencies may check the CSC job portal for available positions.

Aside from the position title, the place of assignment, salary grade, and monthly salary is included in the job posting details.

The CSC also reminded applicants that they should be able to meet the required qualification standards, submit needed documents, and follow instructions in sending their application.

Vacancies posted in the CSC job portal include first-level, second-level, and third-level career positions.

First level positions include clerical, trades, crafts, and custodial service positions which involve non-professional or sub-professional work in a non-supervisory or supervisory capacity requiring less than four years of collegiate studies.

The second level includes professional, technical, and scientific positions that involve professional, technical, or scientific work in a non-supervisory or supervisory capacity requiring at least four years of college work while the third level position covers those in the Career Executive Service that are appointed by the President.

Meanwhile, Lizada reminded applicants that working in the government means providing the best quality of public service.

“It’s not easy being in government kasi the responsibility is quite heavy but mabuti naman yung pay, ang atin lang (the pay is good, what we just want) is really your professionalism, integrity, and the will to truly serve the people),” Lizada said.
