Filipina actress KC Concepcion thanked all those who helped her raise funds she donated to WWF-Philippines’s Project Silong, a drive that aims to help fishing communities of Lagonoy Gulf affected by Super Typhoon Rolly and Typhoon Ulysses that recently hit the Philippines.

On her Instagram account, the actress said that she was able to raise P200,000 from those who bought products from her jewelry line, Avec Moi by Kristina, from November 17 to November 27.

“That will help provide 2,511 fiberglass boats for sustainable fishing & rebuild lives of our fishermen in Bicol, Philippines,” she said.

Aside from this financial assistance, the actress will be coordinating with the Office of the Vice President and the Kaya Natin Movement next week to provide 200 packs of relief goods worth P500 each to give to Filipinos in Cagayan Valley.

“THANK YOU!!! Maraming salamat (Thank you so much), loves.” KC said.

The actress earlier announced that she was auctioning off her pre-loved items, including dresses and gowns, posted on her Instagram account, @thisiskcscloset. She said that all proceeds she will be getting from this will be donated to “help rebuild the lives of our fishermen who have lost their boats, homes and livelihoods in the recent back-to-back typhoons Rolly & Ulysses.”

Prior to this, KC went to Tuguegarao in Cagayan to help in the distribution of relief goods to typhoon victims.

“With 3 planes, a group of close friends, face shields, disinfectant sprays, and masks, we were able to fly 12,000 relief packs + 8,000 bottles of drinking water, and personally distribute these to the beautiful people of Cagayan,” she said on November 17.
