It might have been a quiet pregnancy journey with Diana Zubiri-Smith giving birth last September 14, but that does not mean she will keep all the happiness and relief forever.

Diana’s pregnancy with her newborn Amira Jade was hushed down to privacy by her and husband Andy Smith. According to an interview as reported by Philippine Entertainment Portal (PEP.ph), this was due to the risks despite this being her third time. Even before the pandemic and the strict protocols for quarantine, Diana was already struggling and was advised by her doctor to be on bed-rest.

In fact, no baby bump sneak peeks, no announcement of the newest family member, no sonograms, no mitten snapshots, and no gender reveal events were heard from the couple.

The family’s gift may have been mostly a secret to the public but Diana uploaded her documented pregnancy journey through her latest vlog on Wednesday, October 7.

Andy was shown to be emotional in the vlog since he was not able to be with Diana because of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) quarantine protocol. The couple decided that it was best for him to stay with their kids for two weeks while Diana is tending to their baby.

“You know, if you saw how hard it was… especially the last week. It’s been super crazy. I didn’t actually sleep kasi (because)she woke up super early saying she’s getting contractions. I tried having a nap, but I couldn’t stop thinking about her,” he narrated.

He praised Diana for the “good job” knowing how tough it was for her, especially in the last three days. He shared that he is thankful that she is healthy.

Amira Jade is Diana’s second daughter with Andy, whom she married in 2015. Their eldest daughter is Aliyah Rose, who was born in 2016.

Diana has a first child with her late ex-husband Alex Lopez, who passed away in 2010. They have a son, King.
