MANILA – Former three-term mayor of Malolos City, lawyer Christian “Agila” Natividad, on Thursday assumed as the new chairman of the Optical Media Board (OMB).
Natividad vowed to go all out against counterfeiters of storage devices, and promote respect for intellectual property rights in the country.
He took his oath of office before Department of Energy (DOE) Secretary Alfonso Cusi.
In a short oath-taking program, Cusi welcomed Natividad to the Duterte Administration and asked him to serve the OMB with the same passion he showed as three-term mayor of Malolos City.
The OMB, under the Office of the President, regulates the mastering, manufacturing, importation and exportation of optical media products.
Former chairpersons include Edu Manzano, Ronnie Ricketts and Senator Bong Revilla.
Natividad is a hall of famer as Most Outstanding City Mayor of the Philippines given by the Association of Social Welfare and Development Officers of the Philippines.
During his term, Malolos City was a consistent awardee for seal of good housekeeping and for peace and order.
It was also considered to be one of the safest cities in the Philippines. (PR)
