While other celebrities are into online selling and some are into vlogging nowadays, actress Julia Montes took the opportunity of having more time in her hands to go back to school amid the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.

Sharing her “new journey from home,” the 25-year-old actress said she enrolled in Southville International School and Colleges, but did not reveal what program she took this time.

“This is how I turn a crisis into an opportunity, doing things I’ve always wanted now that I have the luxury of time. Indeed, education is a lifelong venture,” she wrote in the caption, along with a photo of her facing her laptop screen.

Montes graduated from the Center of Culinary Arts Manila in 2015. Sharing moments during her graduation, the actress described this achievement as “one of the happiest moments of my life.”

Before the global health crisis hit, Montes was announced to make a comeback to the Entertainment industry following a hiatus.

She was set to be part of the action-drama series, “Burado,” along with Nadine Lustre, Paulo Avelino, Zanjoe Marudo, and Thai actor Denkhun Ngamnet. However, Dreamscape Entertainment, which was set to produce “Burado,” confirmed to ABS-CBN News in August that the show has been cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic. Aside from the Philippines, the series was supposed to be filmed in Thailand, Cambodia, and India.
