Financial assistance releasing for medical and non-medical frontliners of the City Government of San Juan 👍

MANILA – The city government of San Juan on Friday released financial assistance to health workers and non-medical front-liners.

Mayor Francis Zamora earlier announced the provision of financial assistance to the city’s public health workers amounting to PHP5,000.

Meanwhile, non-medical front-liners including City Hall employees, San Juan Medical Center’s staff members, and other personnel of the villages involved in the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) crisis management will each get a cash aid of PHP3,000.

As part of the city’s support to front-liners amid the crisis, Zamora said the local government continues to implement a “Libreng Sakay” program, providing free transportation for health workers and other non-medical front-liners.

On the other hand, he said the hiring process for the new project of a private firm at the Greenhills Shopping Center would prioritize city residents.

Napakiusap po natin na puro taga-San Juan ang i-hire nila (We requested them to prioritize San Juan residents in their hiring process),” Zamora said in a social media post.

His move was part of the San Juaneño First policy wherein residents are prioritized in the hiring process whenever a new project opens within the city.

Zamora said the company would need 120 carpenters, 100 masons, 60 steel men, and 20 laborers for the project.

Interested applicants may visit the DCMI Annex Building, 2278 Chino Roces Ave. in Makati City.

Applicants are required to submit a birth certificate, Social Security System (SSS) number/static information, National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) or police clearance, Pag-IBIG (optional), PhilHealth (optional), and barangay clearance/health certification.

Hired applicants will receive free medical check-ups, a five-day incentive leave (after a year of service in the company), group accident insurance, government-mandated benefits, including SSS, Employees Compensation Commission, Pag-IBIG, and PhilHealth, and 13th-month pay.
