Bugoy Cariño defends family with EJ Laure: You don’t know our full story

Ever since his 18th birthday that was accompanied by a big reveal, Bugoy Cariño and Ennajie “EJ” Laure have been the subject of online discussions of mixed reactions. Some days of the continuing buzz, the former child actor finally aired out a reaction.

When Bugoy turned 18, he and EJ dropped the big news that they have formed a family with their 2-year-old daughter Scarlet. This confirmation gained mixed reactions as it is tied down to the rumors that surrounded both of them years ago.

While some celebrated with the couple, a lot were alarmed by the whole thing.

Vlogger Angel Dei is one of those as she quote retweeted a viral photo of EJ and Bugoy taken years ago on September 6. “This is so wrong!!!! I can’t believe some people are defending this!!!” she wrote.

Bugoy, on the same day, quote retweeted this as well, admitting that what ‘they did was wrong.’

Pero para ijudge kami basta basta? Ibang usapan na po yun (But to judge us like that? That is a different topic),” he said.

He then added “hindi nyo po alam buong story namin (You do not know our full story).”

Bugoy then emphasized that even if he is still young, he chose to face his responsibilities and not flee from it.

The next day, Angel responded to her tweet and clarified that she is not judging anyone. “I’m not attacking the person. The action is wrong and shouldn’t be tolerated. Dun lang tayo (Let us focus on that),” she wrote.

Rumors about Bugoy and EJ circulated when the former Kapamilya actor, who was 15 then, was suspended from the It’s Showtime boy group Hashtags. At the same time, EJ also had a volleyball hiatus with the University of Santos Tomas (UST) Golden Tigresses, saying that she had a shoulder injury. Both parties in succeeding months, whenever the rumors surfaced, denied any truth to it.
