MANILA – The Philippine National Police (PNP) has ordered all police commanders and units to immediately put up checkpoints in barangays and main thoroughfares of the National Capital Region (NCR) and the provinces of Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, and Rizal which were reverted to modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) beginning Tuesday.

“Our police units in the field are ready to set up more checkpoints in barangays and main thoroughfares as the NCR, Rizal, Laguna, Cavite, and Bulacan reverted to MECQ from August 4 to 18 heeding the call of our medical front-liners,” PNP chief, Gen.

“We are asking for your full cooperation, to help save lives and to ease the burden of your health and police front-liners,” he added.
