MANILA – The Philippine Embassy in Singapore has brought home 325 Filipinos on Monday, its eighth repatriation flight amidst the ongoing coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) pandemic.
The Scoot TR 1390 flight departed Singapore at 1:45 p.m. and arrived in Manila on the same day at 5 p.m.
This brings the total number of repatriated Filipinos assisted by the embassy to 1,739 since repatriation flights were organized in April.
The flight also carried 600 units of oxygen concentrators donated by Temasek Foundation to the Philippines as part of its continuing assistance for Philippines’ Covid-19 response.
The embassy has also coordinated the processing of CAAP clearances for 15 privately chartered flights to repatriate stranded Filipino seafarers in Singapore. A total of 705 Filipino seafarers we are able to go home through these flights chartered by their local manning agencies.
The embassy is hoping to organize another repatriation flight in the next few weeks. Interested Filipinos are advised to regularly check the official Facebook page of the embassy for further details such as confirmation of the flight schedule and on how to sign up for the said flight. (PR)
