Mak Tumang’s fashionable ‘lava’ face mask is now available
Individuals who wanted to look fashionable while helping to flatten the coronavirus curve can now avail face masks inspired by the fiery Mayon Volcano-inspired gown that Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray wore during the pageant’s coronation night.
Mak Tumang has made a set of masks containing four different designs: three of them have the same look as Gray’s “Lava Gown,” while the other one is a plain black mask.
The masks, which have comfortable ear straps, are made of neo-crepe cover, non-woven filter, and has cotton lining. These are also washable, breathable, and water-repellent.
The entire set, which contains four masks in foldcote bag, costs P1,500, while the “Lava Box” set, which has four pieces of masks in signature box, is priced at P2,000.
The most pricey option, which amounts to P25,000, is the “Lava Luxe” in which a customer will have one piece of a “beaded mask” in signature box.
Apart from having these fashionable masks, the customer who buys a set will be given a photo opportunity with the iconic “Lava Gown” at The Mak Tumang Atelier in Mexico, Pampanga.
Tumang has thanked all those who purchased and have shown interest in his product.
“We are so overwhelmed by the number of inquiries and massive interest in our Lava masks,” he said in an Instagram post, as he asked for his customers’ understanding because it takes time for them to respond to all their inquiries.
Tumang earlier unveiled the “exclusive replica” of Gray’s famous Mayon gown which will be worn by the beauty queen’s Madame Tussauds wax figure. Gray is the second Filipina beauty queen to have her own wax figure in the museum, following Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach.
