Covid-19 among overseas Pinoys rise by 2.3K due to late reports

MANILA – The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) reported Sunday that 2,300 more Filipinos abroad were infected with the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19), bringing the number of persons overseas contracting the disease to 5,184.
In its case bulletin, the DFA said the spike covers some late reports received from the Middle East.
About 1,176 more people have recovered in Asia and the Pacific and the Middle East.
The total number of recovered cases overseas is now 2,151.
The death toll has climbed to 339.
Meanwhile, a total of 2,694 Filipinos abroad are still undergoing treatment.
“While similar to yesterday’s figures, no new fatalities due to Covid-19 were reported and the total number of fatalities decreased from 340 to 339 today due to delisting of one death in Europe. Patient originally reported as dead was confirmed to be in critical condition,” the DFA said.
