MANILA – The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) on Friday said it will only accept online applications for medical assistance of patients in Metro Manila starting next week.

“Effective Monday, May 11, filing and processing for medical assistance for confinement chemotherapy, dialysis, hemophilia and post-transplant medicines for NCR patients shall be done through online application only,” PCSO General Manager Royina Garma said in an advisory.

Those seeking for medical assistance can go to the website of PCSO www.pcso.gov.ph and click E-Services and click NCR Online Application.

Garma said this is due to the suspension of operations of the agency’s main and extension offices due to the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) outbreak.

She added that PCSO will continue to find ways and means to reach out to people and assist the national government in its fight against Covid-19.

“The agency, adhering and complying to the Bayanihan to Heal as One Act, emphasizes and strengthens this auxiliary role especially in providing healthcare to Filipinos, bearing a part of the weight and augmenting government efforts in these strained and challenging times,” she added.
