MANILA – A party-list lawmaker is eyeing to file a resolution calling for a congressional inquiry on the alleged corrupt activities of a high-ranking official of a government bureau as the country battles the coronavirus disease (Covid-19).

Wala ba siyang konsensya? (I do not understand why someone could still commit such a crime in the middle of a crisis faced by the country? Does he have any conscience?),” Taduran said.

“I am not inclined to reveal his identity at the moment but let this serve as a stern warning to him that his actions will not be tolerated and I will see to it that his corrupt practices will be dealt with seriously,” she added.

She noted that all pieces of evidence pertaining to the alleged corruption.

“Let me remind our government officials to always observe the highest level of honesty and decency in the performance of their duty. No form of corruption is too small,” she said.
