MANILA – The number of people who recovered from the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) continues to increase with a total of 516 as of April 18, the Department of Health (DOH) reported Saturday.
Of the total recoveries, 29 were newly registered.
Meanwhile, the death toll is 397 with 10 new deaths recorded in the past 24 hours.
“As of 4 p.m. today, April 18, 2020, the Department of Health reports 209 new cases (PH5879-PH6087) of Covid-19. The total number of cases in the country is now at 6,087,” the agency said.
In a separate bulletin, the DOH announced that one laboratory has been accredited for Covid-19 testing.
“As of April 18, 2020, we have 17 Licensed Laboratories in the country that are capable of conducting Real-Time RT-PCR for Covid-19! DOH continues to strengthen the testing capabilities of different laboratories across the country,” it said.
