Covid-19 cases in PH now at 4,428: DOH
MANILA – The Department of Health (DOH) on Saturday said the number of coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) cases in the country has reached 4,428.
“As of 4 p.m. today, April 11, 2020, the Department of Health reports 233 new cases (PH4196-PH4428) of Covid-19. The total number of cases in the country is now at 4,428,” it said in a bulleting.
Of this number, 17 new recoveries and 26 new deaths were recorded. This brings the total number of recoveries to 157 and the death toll to 247.
In a separate statement, the DOH advised the public to verify and fact-check information about the Covid-19 situation before sharing on social media.
The statement came following reports that a hospital in Metro Manila was allegedly instructed to stop counting Covid-19 deaths.
The DOH said it did not issue such order.
