Valentine’s Day became extra special for comedienne Ethel Booba.

This, as she announced on her Twitter account that she has given birth to her firstborn with her non-showbiz boyfriend Jessie Salazar on Friday, February 14.

“Welcome to this world Little Booba.

Charot!” Ethel said in a Tweet as she shared a photo of her baby girl showing only a portion of her body while lying in a hospital blanket.

In another post, Ethel even teased those who were having Valentine’s dates, saying, “Panis yang date niyo sa due date ko. Charot (Your date is nothing against my due date! Joke!) #HappyValentinesDay”

Upon seeing the good news, netizens sent their congratulatory messages for the birth of their daughter, and with Ethel being known for sparking witty yet fun exchanges about certain topics on social media, some of them started to offer alternative names for the newborn, like “Boobwita,” Boobabe/Boobae,” or “Boobina,” instead of calling her “Little Booba.”

The suggestions may be welcomed, but it seems that Ethel has already chosen a name that will perfectly fit her daughter.

The comedienne earlier dropped a hint that their child’s name will be “Michaela” as she greeted Jessie on his birthday last month.

It was in November 2019 when Ethel revealed that she was pregnant in an episode of the noontime variety show “It’s Showtime,” where she performed again on stage after emerging as the celebrity grand champion of the program’s “Tawag ng Tanghalan (TNT)” segment.

It was not clear at first if Ethel was serious about being pregnant as she was announcing it in an emotional way but quickly adding jokes.

It was only until she explained that it was hard for her to sing because she felt like “parang lalabas ‘yung bahay bata ko (I thought my uterus will come out)” when the show’s hosts realized that she was indeed pregnant and immediately congratulated the comedienne, while the audience gave her cheers and applause.
