While fans and avid viewers of the recently-concluded primetime teleserye The Killer Bride are sad with the fact that Joshua Garcia will not be gracing their television screens every night anymore, they have another reason to rejoice: Joshua is tapped for another role in the big screen.

Joshua will be starring in the upcoming film, “Ang mga Kaibigan ni Mama Susan” which is a film adaptation of Bob Ong’s horror-mystery novel of the same name.

This was announced on Wednesday, February 5, by Black Sheep, the producer of the film. It will be in partnership with Regal Entertainment, Inc.

To complete the whole package of spooky, it is none other than Chito S. Roño who will be directing the film, known for bringing the chills from the screens to theaters through Feng Shui, Sukob, The Healing, and many more.

As of writing, there are no other details about the film,

Ang Mga Kaibigan Ni Mama Susan, published in 2010, is Bob Ong’s eighth book. It is also his first time to publish a piece in the horror genre.

It tells the story of Gilberto “Galo” P. Manansala, written in his point-of-view through his journal entries of the mysterious happenings around him. He is described as a college student in a university in Manila.
