Issa Pressman belies alleged involvement in JaDine breakup

Her sister said she would not reply to the controversy she was embroiled in, but Issa Pressman could not just sit back watching some netizens throw false allegations and make hateful comments about her.

The younger sister of actress Yassi Pressman has finally spoken on Friday, belying her supposed involvement on the breakup of Nadine Lustre and James Reid, known as JaDine.

“If I stay silent, I’m ‘guilty’. If I stand up for myself, I’m ‘defensive’. The world judges either way,” Issa wrote in an Instagram post.

“But to end it here & now, everything is 100% FALSE,” she added, along with the hashtag #ThinkBeforeYouClick.

Following weeks of rumors on the internet, James and Nadine confirmed that they had broken up in a joint statement which was aired on Tonight With Boy Abunda last January 20, explaining that they want to focus not only on their respective careers but more of their personal growth.

This so-far-the biggest-revelation-in-the entertainment-industry left everyone in shock, especially their supporters who probably never imagined that such announcement was going to happen. Their fans, who seemingly can’t get over their separation, tried to connect the dots to find out what caused the long-time lovers to end their relationship.

That is when Issa’s name was dragged in the issue, as some people accused her of being the third party.

Yassi earlier defended Issa from the fans who came for her online when she posted a photo of her with Nadine. Yassi said they initially took the rumor lightly and just laughed about it, but when things got out of hand already, she broke her silence for her sister because “cyber-bullying is not okay, it is never okay.”

“Be careful with the words you say, and things you THINK are true on social media. They’re not always the truth. Do not be so quick to point fingers, when you do not have the proper information,” the 24-year-old actress said.

Nadine expressed her support to the Pressman sisters, saying she loves them both. She also pleaded to her fans to stop putting too much meaning on her posts on social media because they are “blowing things out of proportion.”

James, for his part, apologized to Issa and Yassi for getting dragged into the controversy.
