JC Santos is going to be a dad!

JC Santos has treated his fans to some delightful news on Friday when he shared two huge updates about his life: first, he confirmed he is married, and second, a baby girl is on the way!

The 31-year-old actor revealed this in an interview with entertainment reporter Allan Diones during the press conference of his upcoming movie “On Vodka, Beers, and Regrets” along with Bela Padilla.

If JC had to choose one word to describe his 2019, he said it would be his “best year” yet because aside from having a successful career, he got to marry the girl of his dreams back in high school, Shyleena Herrera, last September 2019.

“‘Yung crush ko nung high school na na-busted ako 15 years ago, nagkita kami ulit at hindi ko na siya pinakawalan (My high school crush who busted me 15 years ago, we saw each other again and I didn’t let go of her anymore),” JC said as he recounted those days with a bright smile on his face.

“Syempre naghang-out kami for a few months then sinabi ko na agad sa parents niya na, ‘I want to marry your daughter.’ Sinabi ko na agad sa kapatid niya. Nalaman na nila and nag-propose ako, and we got married (Of course, we hung out for a few months, then I told her parents right away that, ‘I want to marry your daughter.’ I told her sibling immediately, too. When they knew about it, I proposed to her and we got married),” he continued.

And as a fruit of their love, JC shared that they are about to welcome their “new beautiful blessing” next month.

The actor said being a soon-to-be-father made him feel many emotions, but right now, he said, “Kinakabahan muna ako (I’m feeling nervous).”

Asked why he never announced such important event in his life in public, JC said because no one tried to ask him about it.

“Hindi namin siya nilihim, wala lang nagtatanong.

Akin naman kasi, ang social media ko about work lang (We did not hide it, it’s just that no one was asking. For me, my social media [accounts] is about work only),” he explained.

“On Vodka, Beers, and Regrets” is the third movie that JC and Bella have worked on as the main leads, after “100 Tula Para Kay Stella” in 2017 and “The Day After Valentines” in 2018.

Written and directed Irene Villamor, their new film will hit the theaters on February 5.
