After finding out that he has a hole in his right lung, former “Pinoy Big Brother: Otso” housemate Fumiya Sankai said he has to undergo a lung operation in Japan.

Fumiya revealed his health condition in a three-minute vlog he uploaded on Tuesday, December 10, on his YouTube channel, showing a tube connecting to his body at the beginning of the video.

“I will have [an] operation kasi (because) my lungs has butas (a hole). My lungs has parang (like) something. Kanina (Earlier), I was talking with [my] doctor and he said I have [a] hole. That’s why they will cut my lungs and then they will remove the butas (hole) from my lungs,” he shared.

“Actually one sad thing kasi (because) [the] left side also merong (has) something. That’s why merong (there is a) possibility [ding may] butas (that there is a hole) in my left lung. That’s why [I’m] sad. Bakit (Why) my lungs is like that talaga?” he continued.

“Please [keep] supporting me. Sana (I hope), it’s gonna be okay,” he added.

In a December 6 vlog titled, “I’m not feeling well,” Fumiya shared that he went to Shinjuku, Japan, when he suddenly felt “something” in his lungs while he was walking.

“Four years ago, I got [a] hole sa may (in) lungs that’s why I had [an] operation, ‘di ba (right)? And then kanina (earlier), I felt the same talaga so right now it’s very difficult [for me] to breathe,” he said.

Fumiya said he wasn’t able to go to the hospital since it’s already midnight so he decided to go back to his hotel room.

Pero (But) I couldn’t walk that’s why I used taxi [to get here],” he said, adding that he felt better after laying down on his bed.

But in another video he uploaded also last Friday, Fumiya disclosed that his right lung became “small,” according to his doctor, as he showed his chest radiograph.

Fumiya shared that when he visited the hospital, his doctor told him that ‘something happened’ to his lungs.

“I[‘m] supposed to be back to the Philippines pero (but) I [will] go to Shizuoka para sa (for the)  surgery,” the ex-PBB housemate said.

Last December 8, his brother Shunya, conveyed a message to Fumiya’s fans through a video he uploaded on the latter’s YouTube channel, saying, “Fumiya said that he wanted to encourage the viewers by not only showing the fun part but also the struggles he had without being ashamed of them.”

In the video clip, Fumiya shared that a 20-centimeter tube was connected to his lungs, which sometimes “touches” his back and that it causes much pain to him.

His fans, meanwhile, poured out all kinds of support, love, and concern for Fumiya, making the phrase, “LABAN LANG FUMIYA (Just fight, Fumiya)” be on the top of Philippines trending topics on Wednesday, December 11.
