Bettor claims winning lotto numbers ‘revealed’ in dream
MANILA — A bettor in Makati City won the PHP22-million jackpot of the Mega Lotto 6/45 draw last Friday night, Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) General Manager Royina Garma said Tuesday.
Garma said the bettor, who is in his early 50s and is working as a sales representative, had been purchasing lotto tickets for nearly 25 years as he started patronizing lotto in 1995, claimed his prize from the Office of the General Manager at the agency’s main office in Mandaluyong City.
The lucky bettor correctly guessed the winning combination 19-07-09-06-22-16 with a corresponding prize of (PHP22,163,563) which was drawn on November 15.
She said the new millionaire claimed dreaming about the winning numbers but forgot some of them when he woke up. He eventually recalled them when co-passengers in an elevator of their building chose said numbers.
“Inalagaan niya talaga ‘yung napanaginipan niyang mga numero. Tatlong araw niyang sunud-sunod na tinayaan bago siya nanalo (He really took care of the number combination in his dream. He bet for three consecutive days before finally winning the jackpot prize),” Garma, who had the chance to talk with the winner, told reporters.
The lucky bettor was given a LandBank check after he presented his winning ticket and valid government-issued identification cards.
The winner told Garma that he will be opening a lotto outlet as one of his investments.
The 6/45 Mega Lotto is drawn every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
