It is Halloween time and you are probably thinking of clever ways to stand out at this time of the year.

With all these faces of ghosts, demons, vampires, superheroes, fairies, characters, among others, you might want to pull off something that is totally unique from these — something that is not usually portrayed.

Introducing this new idea for Halloween costume, Amazon.com is now selling a latex mask of President Rodrigo Duterte on their platform.

The mask is labelled by its seller, Caili’s Company, as “Rodrigo Duterte Rodi DU30 Philippines President Halloween Adult Latex mask.” According to the vendor, the mask is a “quality latex mask” with “excellent craftmanship.”

The product, however, is not that cheap as you think it is as each mask costs $32.99 and cannot be shipped to the Philippines.

According to its description, the mask has package dimensions of 11.1 x 10.9 x 3.4 inches, and it weighs 5.6 ounces.

As of writing, there are only four pieces left available. So if you are thinking of buying this, you better add this to your cart immediately.

‘Amusing’

On Wednesday, October 30, Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo was sought for comment about the mask being sold online.

“That means he has arrived! Can you imagine trending all over?” Panelo said.

Asked if the Palace is offended because Duterte was being associated with stuff being used to scare people, he answered, “Hindi. Talagang tinatakot niya ‘yung mga kriminal eh (No. [Because] he really scares criminals).”

“Kapag daw ikaw ay nagiging topic ng lahat dahil sa ginagawa kang, niloloko ka or pinupuri ka, ibig sabihin (When you become everyone’s topic because of what you are doing, you are either teased or praised, it means) you have arrived. Otherwise hindi ka papansinin (you will not be noticed),” he added.

The Philippine leader has gained international prominence because of his war on drugs. Despite earning heavy backlash both locally and internationally, Duterte has remained firm on continuing his anti-illegal drug campaign.
