Two years after his last teleserye, James Reid is set to do another project.

But he is not paired with his real-life girlfriend or the other half of the JaDine loveteam, Nadine Lustre. This time, James will be working with Nancy McDonie of South Korean girl group Momoland, Dreamscape Entertainment announced on Friday, October 4.

The new show, titled “Soulmate,” will be produced by Dreamscape and will be helmed by award-winning director Antoinette Jadaone, whom James and Nadine have worked with in the teleseryes “On The Wings of Love” and “Till I Met You.”

Dreamscape did not disclose further details about the series, instead, it shared on Instagram a few photos during the story conference.

Sought for a comment regarding their series, Nancy told ABS-CBN News that she is “very excited” for it.

“It’s totally new to me — in a different country and new culture,” she said.

Sharing his first impression of his co-star, James admitted that he had a feeling of being “a little bit starstruck” over Nancy since it was his first time working with an international artist and that he was “super excited to work with her.”

Nancy, meanwhile said of James, “He’s super nice, super sweet, awesome!”

On Twitter, James said he is honored to be part of “Soulmate” but made this one request to his fans: “no love team names.”

“I’ve already got one #jadine,” he wrote.

Apart from the teleserye, Momoland also formally signed a contract with ABS-CBN. It was reported that they are going to have a travel TV series where they will explore beautiful places in the Philippines.

Momoland, known by many Filipinos for their song “Bboom Bboom,” arrived in the country for the “Good Friends in Manila” concert at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Saturday, October 5. They were joined by former Wanna One members Ha Sung Woon and Kim Jae Hwan.
