Palace releases 3 new appointments

MANILA — Malacañang has released new appointments each in the Department of Energy (DOE), Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), and the Philippine Commission on Women (PCW).
A list of presidential appointees dated Sept. 17 showed that President Rodrigo Duterte appointed Emmanuel Juaneza as Energy Undersecretary.
Prior to being appointed at the DOE, Juaneza served as a consultant for the Power Generation Operation and Maintenance Oil Gas Construction under the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).
Juaneza, a professional mechanical engineer, was also president of the Gypsy Iloilo Oil Corporation and Yalma Gem Corporation.
Duterte also appointed former DENR regional executive director of Calabarzon (Region 4), Jim Sampulna as Environment Undersecretary.
Sampulna has served the DENR in various capacities such as DENR-CARP Regional Coordinator, Pro-Poor regional Coordinator, Planning and Management Division Chief, and Internal Audit Division Chief in Region 12, among others.
Meanwhile, Patricia Anne Keng was also appointed as a member of the PCW representing the youth sector.
